By MINISTERIAL AGREEMENT No. MDT-2024-300, it was decided to INCREASE the base salary for 2025:
ESTABLISHING THE UNIFIED BASIC WAGE FOR GENERAL WORKERS FOR THE YEAR 2024
NEW BASIC WAGE IN ECUADOR FOR 2024
Sole Article.—Regardingthe Unified Basic Wagefor the year2025. TheUnified Basic Wagefor workers in general—including small-scale industrial workers, agricultural workers, maquila workers, paid domestic workers, handicraft workers, and microenterprise employees—is set at four hundred seventy United States dollars (US$470.00) per month, effective January 1,2025.
The percentage increase inthe unified basic wagefor workers in general for2025compared to 2024 is 2.174%; this increase will also apply to the setting of sectoral minimumwages, which are listed in the tables of the respective sectoral commissions.
FINAL PROVISION
, SOLE. This Ministerial Agreement shall enter into force on January 1,2025, subject to its publication in the Official Register.
